1. Types of Comparison
We use adjectives to show differences or similarities.
نستخدم الصفات للمقارنة لإظهار الاختلاف أو التشابه بين الأشخاص أو الأشياء.1. Positive (العادية): Just describing.
Ali is tall.2. Comparative (المقارنة): Comparing two things.
Ali is taller than Omar.3. Superlative (التفضيل): Comparing one vs group.

Short Adjectives (1 Syllable)
Rule: Add -er + than
للصفات القصيرة: نضيف -er + than.Long Adjectives (2+ Syllables)
Rule: more + Adjective + than
للصفات الطويلة: نستخدم more + الصفة + than.Examples:
- This bag is smaller than that one.
- This book is more useful than the last.
3. Superlative (One vs Group)
Short Adjectives
Rule: the + Adjective + -est
للصفات القصيرة: the + الصفة + est.Long Adjectives
Rule: the most + Adjective
للصفات الطويلة: the most + الصفة.4. Spelling Rules 📝
1. Double Consonant: (C-V-C)
Big ➝ Bigger / Biggest
2. Ends in -y: (Change to i)
Happy ➝ Happier / Happiest
Easy ➝ Easier / Easiest
3. Ends in -e: (Just add r/st)
Nice ➝ Nicer / Nicest
5. Irregular Adjectives
